Consument koopt steeds duurdere spullen online
Blijkbaar neemt het vertrouwen in ecommerce in hoog tempo toe. Zo is het bedrag waarbij consumenten het niet eng vinden om online te kopen aan het oplopen. Dat blijkt ook uit cijfers van Autobytel in the UK:
It says that no longer is the internet being used by motorists to buy smaller cheaper cars.
It says the average purchase price of cars bought from the site in the past 6-months was over £15,000.
The most expensive car purchased online was a Mercedes-Benz CLK for just under £38,000 with the cheapest being a Volkswagen Lupo for just under £5,000. Online purchases also feature some ‘out of the ordinary’ cars including a Porsche Boxster and a Smart Roadster.
“When drivers first looked to buy cars online they were looking for the best price on an inexpensive family car” said marketing manager, Julia Odgers. “Now, the online buyer is maturing, is more adventurous with purchases and buys high-specification models from a variety of manufacturers.”
Autobytel says that over 40% of purchase requests during July were submitted between the hours of 6pm and 9am when dealerships are closed.
